New merchants are now invited to activate their account from the OnlinePay login screen, where they will be able to set up their account using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). You will need to activate your account by requesting a One-Time Passcode (OTP), which will be sent to your registered email address.
We will no longer send activation links via email..
Changes to Surcharging
Surcharging is now blocked for Pre-Authentication (Pre-Auth) transactions.
Orders/Transactions dashboard
The search bar on the Commerce > Orders/Transactions dashboard page no longer searches dynamically. To search for orders or transactions, provide a search value or filter options, then click Apply.
Refunds can now be performed from both Orders and Transactions views from the Payment Actions tab in the information panel.
Improvements to the UI and mobile experience
There have been a number of improvements to the user experience when viewing the OnlinePay dashboard web application, or when viewing on mobile devices.
When creating a new payment link, the organisation drop-down option will only appear when there is more than one OnlinePay Merchant ID associated with the Payment Provider Contract.
Merchants must now choose their site that is enabled for OnlinePay when creating a Pay By Link. Pre-defined card and wallet types will then auto-populate.
SCA compliance type is no longer applicable for Apple Pay transactions. Google Pay will continue to enforce 3DS for wallet transactions where DPAN is not returned.
Surcharging
A global surcharge cap has been introduced for all card types.
Card holders will see all applicable surcharges in Google Pay and Apple Pay before the payment is processed.
Security enhancements
Merchants will be restricted from opening the OnlinePay dashboard in multiple tabs.
Session timeout has been updated so that merchants will no longer be logged out of the dashboard while active.
Refunds
Merchants are now able to provide a Refund Reason, which will be displayed on the transaction details tab in the dashboard.
